KOFY TV’S THE BIG DISH RULES & REGULATIONS

1) No purchase is necessary to enter or win any prize throughout ones participation in The Big Dish. Participation in The Big Dish is void where prohibited or restricted by law, and subject to applicable federal, state and local laws.

2) Eligibility requirements:  The Big Dish is open to all persons aged 18 years or older and who are legal residents of one of the ten Bay Area counties in the State of California. Employees of KBWB KOFY TV20/Cable13 and its respective affiliate companies, subsidiaries and agencies, their immediate family members, and those who reside with such employees are not eligible to participate in or win any prize associated with The Big Dish. 

3) The odds of being selected as a contestant on The Big Dish and/or the winner depends on the number of people entering to be contestants in The Big Dish.  KBWB TV20/Cable 13 are not responsible for returned e-mails, undelivered mail, failed internet connections, busy signals, dropped or disconnected phone calls, poor cellular connections, heavy call volume or other circumstances that may limit a participant's ability to contact KBWB KOFY TV20/Cable 13.

4) All Federal, State and Local taxes, if any, are the sole responsibility of the winner.  Taxes are the sole responsibility of the winner, including any and all Federal and State taxes or fees.  The winner must authorize the deduction of such taxes, if any, from the final prize to the extent of the law. 

5) The final prize is non-transferable and non-redeemable for cash or any other prize, except in the sole discretion of the co-promotional partners.  The winner will be required to execute an affidavit of eligibility, liability, and publicity release and W-9 tax form within ten (10) days of notification of winning the final prize; Failure to do so will result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner.  The final prize will be awarded in the name of the winner only. The final prize must be claimed within six (6) months or the winner voluntarily forfeits winning.   Any unused portion of the final prize will not be reimbursed.

6) By entry into The Big Dish, contestants and the winner grants KBWB KOFY TV20/Cable 13 the right to any video, audio, photographic or print material involving the winner for promotional use without further permission or compensation.  Winner agrees to participate with the co-promotional partners and its advertising agencies in publicizing or broadcasting winner's name, winnings, and his/her picture or character likeness without further compensation.

7) The decisions made by KBWB KOFY TV20/Cable 13 with regard to selecting contestants or the awarding of any prize and the interpretation of these rules shall be final.  All persons submitting to be contestants in The Big Dish shall be deemed to have read, understood and agreed to be bound by these rules. Entry in The Big Dish grants permission to be contacted by the sponsors of The Big Dish for future marketing efforts.  KBWB KOFY TV20/Cable 13 reserves the right to terminate the submission period earlier than the date listed or extend the length of the entry period, if deemed necessary.  Any deviation from these rules on the part of any contestant will render that contestant ineligible.

8) By participating in The Big Dish  the winner agrees to waive any and all claims for damages for death, personal injury, loss of property or property damage that he/she may sustain as a result of his/her participation in the contest or the use of any prize, and to release KBWB KOFY TV20/Cable 13 and each of their respective directors, officers, employees and agents from any and all liability arising out of or connected in any way with his/her participation in the contest, even though that liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons or entities mentioned above.

9) If after the submission process has begun changes or updates to the rules are made, the changes will be announced at approximately 7:30am on the day that the change is to take effect.  In addition, an addendum outlining the changes will be available at the station lobby or on-line at www.kofytv.com.

10) KBWB KOFY TV20/Cable 13, in their discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any person tampering with the entry process or who is otherwise in violation of the rules.  KBWB Your TV20 further reserves the right to cancel, terminate or modify the contest if it is determined that they are not capable of completion as planned due to tampering, technical failures or any other cause.

11.) Persons submitting entries into The Big Dish must meet the following requirements.  If KOFY TV20/Cable 13 believes contestants are in violation of any of the following, KOFY TV20/Cable 13 may disqualify contestant.
   - Contestants must not be professional cooks
   - Recipe must be one’s own or a family recipe
   - Active cooking time of recipe submitted must not exceed 45minutes
   - Video submission must be at least 3 minutes in length
